Balar Malar Tamil School is one of the pioneering Tamil community language schools in Australia. Started in 1977 as weekend Tamil learning sessions led by language enthusiasts, Balar Malar has grown steadily over the decades into a well-established network of branches across NSW, driven by volunteers and supported by the Tamil community.

Balar Malar Tamil School operates under the auspices of New South Wales Federation of Community Language Schools (NSWFCLS) and is also a member of New South Wales Federation of Tamil Language Schools (NSWFTS)

The Balar Malar Ourimbah Branch, commenced this year, is established to serve families across the Central Coast and nearby suburbs by providing structured Tamil learning in a supportive weekend-school environment. Our focus is to build strong foundations in reading, writing, speaking, and comprehension, while also nurturing cultural connection through school events and celebrations.
